Denver Zoo Railroad

Take a ride on the wild side!

Climb aboard the Denver Zoo Railroad, presented by Union Pacific Railroad. Perfect for families with little ones, the train offers a quick trip around the zoo's carousel meadow filled with beautiful lush foliage, under the shade of 100-year-old trees. Hop aboard and enjoy seeing our American and Chilean flamingos and other waterfowl just outside the zoo's Primate Panorama exhibit.

Food Truck Safari - Flamingle After Dark Behind-the-Scenes: Rhino

This adventure is for guests 21 years of age and older.

Enhance your Flamingle experience with a behind-the-scenes rhino experience! Ever wondered what it feels like to touch two tons worth of muscle? Experience this and more as you get up close and personal with one of our rhinos. In this adventure, your host will guide you to our rhino exhibit to meet with a keeper and learn what it takes to care for these thick skinned creatures. You’ll also have a chance to touch and scratch this gentle giant while he enjoys a late night snack!

Afterwards, much on food from some of Denver's best food trucks, quench your thirst with specialty drinks at the Flamboyance bar and enjoy entertainment that's reminiscent of Miami nightlife.

RMAAZK - 19th Annual Comedy Night

Join the Rocky Mountain American Association of ZooKeepers for their 19th annual Comedy Night!

Hosted in Toyota Elephant Passage at Denver Zoo, you will be surrounded by Asian elephants, greater one-horned rhinos, sarus cranes, fishing cats, and more! Enjoy passed appetizers, dinner stations, dessert, and an open house bar while bidding on one-of-a-kind items at the silent auction and visiting up-close with Denver Zoo animal ambassadors! The party will wrap up with a live auction including a trip to Zulu Nyala in South Africa and a week stay in Kauai, followed by comedian Stephanie McHugh in the Toyota Elephant Passage Amphitheatre! This event will benefit conservation around the world with proceeds going to Katie Adamson Conservation Fund, Orangutan Outreach, and Denver Zoo Field Conservation!

Zooper Villains and Monsters: What makes a villain? Why are some animals looked at in a negative light or considered monsters? Why are vultures, bats or aye-ayes perceived as odd, scary or even  "ugly?" Some animals have strange qualities, but they aren't necessarily bad. Help re-write the story of animals who have been painted as villains, simply because they are "eccentric." Are these animals actually monsters, or simply the misunderstood geniuses of evolution?
