Early Explorer Expeditions: Colors of Nature - Black & White

PLEASE NOTE: You must purchase a ticket for each adult and child.

Early Explorer Expeditions

Ages 2-4

Color surrounds us in the natural world and learning to recognize colors is a fundamental part of early childhood education. Join us as we discover the rainbow of color that is all around us. Children will improve their observational skills as we help them to identify the world of colors in their own surroundings, match colors they know to living things, and discover the magic of color with experiments and color mixing.

Meet a new animal during each "expedition" and discover how they fit into this colorful world.

Please do not register siblings outside the age range - including infants.

Early Explorer Expeditions: What's on the Zoo Menu?

PLEASE NOTE: You must purchase a ticket for each adult and child.

Early Explorer Expeditions

Ages 2-4

Over the course of this 3-session series, we will explore what different animals eat, how they get and eat those foods, and how scientists classify animals using these characteristics. Each session will have a focus on a specific eating style; carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores. Participants will be given the opportunity to learn about the topic through live animal encounters along with nature-based free play and exploratory stations. Your child will be able to relate what s/he discovers to themselves by referencing their personal eating habits. Through this connection, we hope that your child will leave our program confident in sharing about food chains with others.

Please do not register siblings outside the age range - including infants.
